The life of a fashion designer might consist of glamorous parties and famous friends, but if their New Year’s resolutions are any indication, some style stars are just like us! WWD asked several star-favorite designers, including Thakoon Panichgul, Behnaz Sarafpour and Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia, what their 2010 goals were. Thakoon, whose celebrity fans include First Lady Michelle Obama and Diane Kruger, is expanding his cultural horizons by attempting to learn Japanese. For Alice + Olivia’s Stacey Bendet 2010’s goal will be “to get my driver’s license so I can get a pink Smart car.” Meanwhile, Behnaz Sarafpour, whose famous clients include Claire Danes and Rachel McAdams, admits that even though she should be going to the gym, she knows “that just won’t happen, I am aiming for something more realistic and will try to become more of a morning person.” We know exactly how that feels!
